Application

We have a limited number of work study spots. To apply for work study at Misfit, fill out this brief online application form. We don't require any prior experience or fancy resumes—just your passion for improv and acting! We will review your application and determine if we think you are a fit. Click here to apply.

Work study placement

If you are a fit and we have space, we'll match you with a role based on your skills, interests, and our availability. We offer a variety of intern positions, working the door for Misfit events, functioning as a teacher's assistant, creating and posting social media content, assisting with classroom setup and tear down, updating our website, and much more.

Class credit

At Misfit, we believe in the power of learning by doing. That's why for every hour you dedicate to working with us, you'll receive an hour of class credit. These class credits can be accumulated and used to enroll in our regular courses. It's a win-win situation—by supporting our community, you'll also be investing in your own growth as a performer.

Work study hour completion

Before you can sign up for a course, we kindly ask that you complete the number of hours required to attend the class. This ensures that you have a solid foundation in our community and have had the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our school. The specific number of hours required will be determined based on the course you wish to enroll in. If the course is a two-hour class for 8 weeks, that is 16 hours of improv class and would need 16 work study hours to signup.

You'll be an integral part of our community, working alongside passionate teachers, talented performers, and fellow students. Your role might evolve as you gain experience, and we encourage you to bring your unique ideas and creativity to the table.
